What do you do?

RE: What do you do?
So I've done sports seriously almost my entire adult life (In fact the sports and fitness section on this forum was my suggestion) , pretty starting around the time I was 18, although I skied from the time I was 10, and probably could still ski pretty well. I used to be a good middle distance runner, then got bored of that and started competitive sports like boxing and fencing, I was really into fencing for about two years and did it about 5 days a week, until I discovered the ultimate sport, rock climbing. Now I climb as much as humanly possible and have pretty much been a one sport Athlete for the last 7-8 years. I'm also a pretty good juggler, although juggling isn't really a sport.

I still swim occasionally, though it too is painful.  I hike regularly at work even though it is painful; that's how I stay in shape.

I'm sorry to hear it, PT. Much credit for working despite the pain!

Mother Nature ain't gonna pay the rent without a little somethingsomething, y'know?

It's my way of giving the disease the finger -- "Fuck you, I'll hike if I goddamned well please."

I didn't realize you lived in the East Bay. I lived in Livermore for about a year. Used to love driving to Concord and hiking Mount Diablo.

Now that you mention it, I do bend over backwards for the wife.
But I also have a lot of respect in the way apologists twist their words...

Previously tennis, swiming and water skiing were my favs. Hyperextended knee took tennis away, L5-S1 back injury took skiing away. Played golf (activity not sport) until the back couldn't take that either.

Now its dog, then more dog and when I think I'm done, dog again. Walking, tracking, herding, .........

Good luck with that. Didn't work for me.

Same with my diet to put on a few pounds. That worked way too well.
