God was created in man's (and I mean man) image and men (and I mean men) were responsible for all of the above. So the questions are moot at a very fundamental level. Other than that god's fan club can get kind of cruel and bothersome. And you've refused to recognize the biggest. Lack of evidence.

Pollfail: no "objection #9": "If god is the source of moralilty, why do his followers like the OP spend so much time defending the indefensible?"
... and ... no objection #10: "Surely an omnipotent god could conjure up better sales reps." RE: Objections: The Gathering

#whatever: The bible is the most revolting book ever to be intended as non-fiction. It contains so much immorality that it's closer to a "how not to" guide.
The oral myth that this is in any way connected to what "God" wants is incredibly dangerous and needs to stop. Society has changed since then. Our understanding has increased by such a factor that the attempts of primitive people trying to explain the world is of no relevance. Feel free to send me a private message.

I don't think or care about any of these questions. None of them is germane to why I'm not a Christian. Frankly all of these are like fan fiction from where I sit. It is like wondering if Jon in Game of Thrones will come back to life and if so what manner of magic will be responsible? Fun to ponder but we shouldn't forget we are talking about fictional characters. How about: if I were the xtian god and looked forward to having all the good ones sitting around my table as soon as they die .. forever .. why make them imperfect and mortal to begin with. If dinner with the lord forever is such a great thing, why not just create them there to begin with? Understand, I don't have any problem myself with the character of God doing things His way. I mean, hell, he is fucking God, right? But in trying to develop a little empathy for this character, I just don't find his decisions very interesting. As Steve Shives was saying in that episode I posted yesterday, all the evidence points to a confused, inefficient and incompetent designer, if there is one. The designing was done right at the beginning, if it was done at all, and then left alone to go nuts. I feel 99% confident that this is the case. All perceived "interaction" is interpretation to fit already held beliefs. Psychology explains incredibly well how religion keeps going, regardless of whether there's any truth to it. The big two are placebo and confirmation bias.
