"Every luxury has a deep price. Every indulgence, a cosmic cost. Each fiber of pleasure you experience causes equivalent pain somewhere else. This is the first law of emodynamics [sic]. Joy can be neither created nor destroyed. The balance of happiness is constant.
Fact: Every time you eat a bite of cake, someone gets horsewhipped. Facter: Every time two people kiss, an orphanage collapses. Factest: Every time a baby is born, an innocent animal is severely mocked for its physical appearance. Don't be a pleasure hog. Your every smile is a dagger. Happiness is murder. Vote "yes" on Proposition 1321. Think of some kids. Some kids." RE: What is God?

These are the best descriptions I have of what gods actually are, in reality:
1) Imaginary friend / comfort blanket 2) The personification of the argument from ignorance (a plug for the hole of uncertainty dressed up in local mythology) 3) An idealised projection of the self 4) A constant feeling of paranoia and fear that you're being judged RE: What is God?

Oh yeah. That too! Money and power, real easy, from selling a non-existent product.
Y'all want me to weigh in with another Anusius tribute thread ?
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
