KB is my rookie keeper in.my $150 fantasy league. The last two years have been disastrous. I traded Marshawn away last year for draft picks because I already had AP.
Now I am down a rookie and have to use a roster move day one. I have to keep a rookie in the league if I want to keep two other players. I am keeping AP again. I can't keep two at any position, so I have to keep an injured Kelvin.
FML.
So you have to keep a rookie from last year? This is KB's 2nd year...what kind of fucked up league are you in steel? Sounds brutal.
Yep. It's a keeper league. 12 years running. You have to keep 3 players from your previous roster, none at the same position, and one has to be a rookie. I only have two rookies on my roster from last year, Benjamin and Isaiah Crowell. Since Crowell is a RB, and I am keeping Adrian Peterson, I can't keep both. So I either drop AP and keep Crowell, Emmanuel Sanders and either Philip Rivers or Zach Ertz, or keep AP, Rivers/Ertz, and a broke ass Benjamin.
My roster imploded last year after AP got suspended indefinitely. I had a dead spot on the roster (couldn't drop AP, need him this year) Ryan Mathews and Nick Foles went down, and I traded away Marshawn Lynch for draft picks at the draft because I had AP.
It is a brutal, brutal league. I got 11th out of 12 last year. Which is good, because 12 gets to have their team named by the runner up. Last year's loser is still named " Felch and Goal."

I put the Cowboys and Steelers in the same category. The Eagles too, but in that case it's more about hating the fans than the team. For some reason, every Eagles fan I have personally known is a raging douchenozzle.
I've met some cool Eagles fans. But after the Bounty Bowl, I wish we could burn their stadium to the ground every time we won in Philly -- after evacuating the fans, of course. Just burn that fucker down.

It used to be mostly one game near the beginning of the season and the second mid or late in the last half of the season.
Yes. Used to be we'd open Monday Night Football with a barnburner of a game. The last few years we've opened with the Giants ... just doesn't have the same juice to the game.

I love how Steel gave us the wikipedia link for "Felch," just in case we weren't sure of the meaning.

I think wasting Barry Sanders the way they did is one of the greatest crimes committed against a sport. To draft a player of such immense talent and refuse to actually build a team around him was disgraceful.

Don't even get me started on Barry Sanders. He put in seven years in the Lions, and when he finally realized he needed to be on a different team to get a ring, the fans hated him for wanting to leave. People were even wearing his jersey with his name crossed out. It was pathetic the way the Detroit fans treated him.

Meh. It's hard to really blame the fans after the way the front office treated him, but I guess there is some share to go around. It was just sad to see a team with such a talented guy and still no-one feared them. Sure, Barry could break of 250 and three touches, but the Lions would still lose 31-21. I was surprised that he retired when he did (still had a bit in the tank) but I was more surprised he retired a Lion.
