I was lying. Ah. I have to be careful....reputation to uphold and whatnot.

There's that, but you know, I don't feel real good about "team leaders" taking a contract holdout into the regular season. The guy deserves more money, yeah, but come on.

That's what I was thinking. It's kind of hard to be the team leader when you miss the first two games because you didn't have enough millions.

That's why I love the way Steelers do business. AB had three years left on his contract as well. The Steelers policy is no negotiations until you have one year left. So they restructure. They moved $2mil from the last year in his contract and moved it to this year. Next year they'll do the same, probably more. Then hopefully they'll sign his ass to a monster contract.

I was at the Eagles-Jets game today. 3 rows from the top of the stadium, but right in the middle of the endzone so we had a perfect view of the plays developing. Birds played an outstanding first 28 minutes (24-0), and managed a four-one turnover advantage to hang on 24-17. OLine looked average instead of abysmal, Bradford looked only-just-below average instead of abysmal, DLine looked fantastic, LBs looked very good, CBs looked very good. Still think my guys are a playoff team.

Don't worry, my friend. If this be the end, then so shall it be.

Patriots vs Jaguars. 51 - 17
I mean, come on. With a score like that what else is there to say? The Jaguars were annihilated by the Patriots on both offense and defense.
Our secondary have improved since last week; we were able to defend more against the deep passes, though some still did get through. Overall I think our defense played a really good game, and Devin McCourty's pick was fantastic (so was Malcolm Butler's almost interception).
Offensively...unbelievable. Every single drive bar one resulted in points on the board. The only drive that didn't? Our last one, when the game was over and all we did was take a knee twice to end the game. That, plus Tom Brady's 400th career touchdown made this an awesome game to watch as a Patriots fan.
I also want to point out that Tom Brady has currently thrown for 1,112 yards, with 9 touchdowns, and 0 interceptions in 3 games.
