Are you an introvert or an extrovert?

Introverts also would rather hang out with small groups of close friends rather than large crowds.

Extrovert is the opposite of that. They gain energy from social situations and enjoy being around big crowds of people.

Here's an illustration to further help explain: http://iwastesomuchtime.com/on/?i=63454

I'm definitely an introvert lol. Talking to people online through written text is completely different because I can think and evaluate things in my mind before I engage in conversation, and I can speak and respond on my own terms. I can't stand small talk. I'd much rather either be super goofy, or talk about things that actually matter. An online forum gives me the control to talk about whatever I want, whenever I want. Smile

I'm missing most of this. Not that I dispute what you say, it just blows me away.

Although I am inherently introverted, I would love to have the skill you have in communicating with people different from yourself that you have. You're very good. You are a very charismatic person and could probably assimilate into almost any group you chose to.

Oh wow, thank you so much for all the kind words!  Shy

I went to a public high school in a pretty liberal city, and of my group of friends there, none of them were practicing Christians. So I had no choice but to learn pretty quick to get along with and be accepting of people who were very different from myself lol. It's been several years since those days, but life lessons tend to stick! That, and I think my parents did a good job emphasizing tolerance to us kids.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Definite extrovert.

Just ask some of the people who know me on FB.

Introvert.

I doubt online socialization truly counts as real life socialization, but through social media I consider myself more of an extrovert because I can be true to myself due to a certain amount of anonymity that cannot quite be achieved in real life one-on-one situations.

I'm a bit of both, but voted 'other' because you're not the boss of me Tongue

I'm generally shy. I have a ton of defense mechanisms that hinder me getting close to people. Interactions, especially in crowds, drain me. I'm fucking exhausted right now after two days of wedding rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, and the wedding itself.

That said, I can be boisterous with those I trust/feel comfortable with. I also have no problem generally clowning around because it's an act. My humor is on display, sure, but the rest of me, my real self, is protected by the distraction.

I also love to be alone. That's less a personality trait than a product of my past.

Yeah, between your description and your signature, I didn't figure you for a shy person, lol.

I simply can't believe C_L is an introvert. I have this mental image of her having brunch with all the other hot Air Force wives and saying to all of them, "Did you poop today? Tell me all about it! Don't leave a single detail out!"

Introvert. Big time.

Some real life friends refer to me as The Hermit.

It even applies to online communities, as some of you may know. I'll disappear for a month or so and come back ready for more socialization.

RE: Are you an introvert or an extrovert?
Extroverted.

I like to party party i like to partyy.I've dumbed myself down so low to have a meaningful conversation with my social peers that there is no going back.
Just yesterday night we went to this festival and then decided to go "I'm sexy and i know it" in the middle of the road with so much traffic block.pahahahahaha

And then there are times that i want to think.I don't even like the birds chirping when i think.Hell,i'll kill the bird with a nuke if it chirp.Do NOT fucking chirp. If people interrupt my thoughts when i'm thinking i'll go ape shit on them. Not kidding.
Also,i no longer watch any movies with any girls. It's fucking torture."Who is that?" "Why are they doing that?" "How did that happen?" "Why are you ignoring me?"

I also have my introverted moments but i am towards the extroverted end of the scale.
