What? He said WE don't believe in ghosts, obviously implying to all atheists. And as I have noticed some atheists do believe in ghosts.
I have never spoken for another atheist, except occasionally in generalities, without qualification and noting thereof.

If the Casper part of his post was just a joke and the rest was actually his response to my question, then my interpretation is right.
We will only know who's is right when he comes back and clarifies his post, but until then, we can only interpret.
Actually, it was a reference to Casper the Friendly Ghost, the whole thing was a joke post. He was saying that a ghost didn't believe in ghosts either, and that the ghost was an atheist. I suppose if you don't know who Casper is, the joke is missed entirely...
I would more generally advocate that one only leave one entrance into their mind(reason), and keep the rest of it rather closed, as it is one hell of a lot easier to shovel shit in than it is to get it out.
If the evidence and reason for you to believe something isn't really any better than the reason you should believe some rural farmer from Arkansas got anally probed by interstellar visitors, then you probably shouldn't.

No, I know it was a joke. That is my whole point.

I though the whole post was rather obvious, without ambiguity and in no need of interpretation. Half a dozen posts or so later, obviously not.
Casper is an American cartoon ghost.
Let me go ask Casper ( the cartoon ghost) what he ( the cartoon ghost) thinks........
Nope, we ( that is Casper and I) do not believe in ghosts.
As atheists, we ( that is Casper and I) have no use for gods or souls. Seems a strange question to ask as the ghost is the disembodied spirit or soul.
I had not read all the posts and am surprised that any atheist would believe in ghosts.

The big problem I have with ghosts is the numbers involved. If even a minute percentage of people who have died are here as ghosts, and they shows themselves a minute percentage of the time, we'd still be swamped with them. Yet I've never seen even the slightest inkling of one ever. People tell me stories, and then ask me for "alternative explanations". I say I have no idea, I wasn't there and I have no evidence to study. They take this as a victory that the ghost did indeed exist.
I once heard about this weird phenomenon where surfaces kind of absorb images, and they then project those images many years later. This alone could easily explain most "ghost" sightings that aren't people just making shit up. I'm not sure what the correct terminology for this is, I'll try and find a reference.

Photography?
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:
"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."
For context, this is the previous verse:
"Hi Jesus" -robvalue
