Could you imagine a high school pistol shooting team? Or skeet team? Or marksmanship team? I'd love for my future children to enjoy the shooting sports. But for some reason this scares people.

(bold mine)

You can't think of any reasons why the idea of guns in school scares people?

Of course, but with proper training guns will be respected. Not feared.

Aye.... there's the rub.

http://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news...testicles/

Quote:A man accidentally shot himself in the testicles at Lowe’s Home Improvement store in Lynnwood Sunday afternoon, police said.

The man’s handgun, which was in the waistband of his pants, went off at about 12:30 p.m. — an apparent “accidental discharge,” according to Shannon Sessions, a Lynnwood police spokeswoman.

Too many assholes already walking around with them.

Hahahaha I feel for the guy. I only have one working testi myself. But just recently there was a local kid that shot himself while taking a selfie. To me it could've been totally prevented. However it's Darwinism at it's finest.

I don't own guns, won't have one in my house, and I prejudicially mistrust people who describe themselves as 'responsible gun owners'.

Never have and at 56, probably never will. I might have had a hand gun for self-defense if I lived in a very rural area but I've never been in that situation.

That's ok I'm not easily scared. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. If the gov't wanted to take my guns away I would freely hand them over. The BATFE knows exactly who I am, where I am, and what I have. However I would be crying like a bitch whilst handing them over.

RE: Gun owners?
More guns seems to equal more gun deaths, according to the research. In the states we have such a problem that 90+% of the country wanted gun reform after sandy Hook, yet they couldn't even get universal background checks. USA is an oligarchy that's of, by, and for the rich, including gun manufacturers fighting to block even the tamest gun restrictions.

I don't think the second amendment means everyone has a right to high magazine capacity assault weapons. I'm not against guns in particular, and I'm not against hunting, but we do have a problem.

Personally I don't own a gun. I have a bat in case anyone tried to break into my house while I'm there, though in my neighborhood they tend to wait until you're gone before they try getting in. I don't see the point in buying a gun and getting the training in case someone tries to rob me with a gun. I don't live in that bad a neighborhood.
