Exactly. Pursuit of happiness is doomed to failure because the pursuing doesn't make you feel happy.
So either pursue feeling better and keep pursuing, and pursue success.
Or just accept happiness isn't something that you can really 'get'. You can get happy but you can't get happiness itself.
And exactly right too - the act of wanting means that you aren't satisfied. And I'd rather continue wanting and not be satisfied than be satisfied but stop striving and perhaps end up with less of an overall thrilling time.
I think satisfaction is overrated. I'd prefer exhilaration any day
