Haven't watched the episode yet. It's DVRd, just been busy. Trying not to read the comments to spoil anything.

Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

So was I, and I think it has happened on Survivor too.

Yes, it has. Someone dove in face-first wearing the mask and the shattered the lens of the mask in the process. Sounds like something Mike Skupin did in Philippines.

Just watched. Caleb is my favorite so far. If he stays long enough, I can see him being the next challenge beast.
Who do I think will go far? The guy on Brawn Tribe with the weird hair and the ear lobe thing going on.

What do you think this is? A Redemption Island season?

I thought for sure that the blonde girl was going to get the boot - making the second switcheroo of the episode after the Beauty tribe managing to win the challenge. With as much as they were showing us of Tai hunting for the idol I thought for sure they were over playing their hand and he was going to be the first boot.
Debbie on the Brains tribe started out seeming like she might be a player, but by the end of the episode she was coming off as egotistical and just plain full of herself - "I don't need to use the saw, I'll chop the bamboo with the hatchet!" Sure, honey. Sure you will.
The whole earwig thing freaked me out. Things crawling into my ears is one of my biggest fears and to see it played out for real, with footage of a little worm actually crawling around an earlobe? EEEEEEEEWWW!!!!! And everyone was just staring at it! "Look, I see it!" Fucking grab it and get it out of her ear then!! I would have at least proposed to her that they flush her ear out with water to try and get whatever's in there out. In any case, it is now firmly decided that for as much as I enjoy this show, I will never ever ever ever ever play it.
People I like so far:
Brawn Tribe: Andre the Giant and Gauges Guy (don't remember their names)
Beauty Tribe: Tai seems like he'll be an interesting character to keep around for a while
Brains: ... No one. Well, maybe the FBI guy, but it seemed like the younguns were out for him and Debbie...
Brains tribe had the most unlikable people ever. The old FBI guy is the only one I liked on that whole tribe. The Obama guy is especially annoying.

Once again, I become a complete sexist when it comes to this show. The men are just so much better at Survivor than the women. And they have more interesting men than they do women.

I'm glad Alicia stayed in. I kinda like her lol. She may not be the strongest, brightest person, but she is an underdog and it's always fun to watch underdogs fight their way through. That, and she's nice and pretty. The only really pretty girl this season imho.
Caleb and Tei are so cute together lol. I'm really liking Caleb so far. I don't like that he's not as nice to the animals though, but he's a good character otherwise and I always like the all American, challenge beast type players on this show.
It's only been 2 episodes but this is looking like a great season so far.

I just realized I forgot to post about last episode!
Quick and dirty rundown of last nights:
I thought Blondie and Jason were going to have a fist fight over that idol key.
My opinion of Jason is turning a bit - he is coming off as an arrogant jerk now, whereas I liked his first impression episode 1. At least he's an interesting character to have around.
Debbie is loony tunes - but I give her props for not being the pushover that Liz and Peter thought she was. Don't know if she was the actual mastermind behind Liz'z boot, but good on her.
Glad Brawn finally got a win, even though I think they're the biggest disaster of a tribe right now.

I'm glad Liz went home. She was annoying! Peter is annoying too, and I don't like Obama which makes matters worse lol.
CM, did you know that Liz is Stephen's ex girlfriend?
Caleb is still my fav. Followed by Tie, and... surprisingly, Alicia lol. I normally don't like women of Survivor, but she's an interesting character I think. Not the smartest, but there's something about her that I enjoy watching and think is interesting.

I didn't really have anything against either of them but I thought that they got what was coming to them this episode - they were flashing their arrogance all over and got called on it.
I'm sort of liking Aubry right now, but am still a little on the fence about her.

Bitch.

I thought you didn't like Alecia! Oh well, things turn as the season progresses. She's still in the mildly annoying category for me, but at least she's making things interesting in the brawn camp.
