If you want people to know which gender you identify with, maybe you should put it in your profile. But that's irrelevant to my point anyway. If people are calling you names, it's probably because you started it by saying something offensive or insulting them. Theists often do this without realising it and that's why they invented the 'angry atheist' stereotype. You may not even realise you're being insensitive or insulting. But don't get me wrong, you are allowed to be, and so are they.
P.S. A word of advice in the unlikely event that you last another week on this site: grow some thicker skin.

If you're having trouble putting someone on ignore I'm sure there's someone around who can talk you through it. All members are allowed to put people on ignore as far as I know.

Thank you. I can't help it. In reference to your title. Did you read a book written by Jonathan Kirsch, titled "The harlot by the side of the road: forbidden tales of the bible"? It's kind of debunking book. I absolutely love it.
And he starts the book with the very story of the one talked about in Genesis 38. I read another book of him that dissects all specifics of the Inquisition. He is a gorgeous author, I absolutely love him.

I haven't read it, but it sounds interesting. I'm sorry that you had a bad experience with one of our mods. All I can say is the mods are people too, with every right to express themselves that we as members have. We can't always agree with all if them but I always appreciate them. They work hard to make this forum a great place.

You should be able to ignore people except for mods and admins.
If you are being ganged up on, insulted, accused, and belittled it's possible that someone is breaking the rules. If you feel you've been personally attacked to the point of flaming you should make a report or PM a mod or admin about it.

I have, and apparently the enflaming attacks are considered attacks only when the outsider is defending themselves and not when they are being verbally mugged to the left and to the right for no reason other than politely expressing their views or dilemmas.

No one here is required to be polite. If you're going to jump in to heated discussions you better have a thick skin. It is also wise to remember that you shouldn't necessarily let something said in a heated debate affect your opinion of a person as a whole. Many people can be very passionate about certain subjects. It's likely that someone at some point will say something rude to you if you participate in those types of threads. It doesn't necessarily mean someone dislikes you or is trying to attack you. I hope you stick around long enough to really get to know everyone.

We do not delete accounts as a matter of course, unless you are a spammer. The fact that you are still here and able to hurl these insinuations proves this.
