Teen killed by Columbus, Ohio, police was shot while fleeing: family’s attorneys

A forensic report released on Monday by attorneys representing the family of a 13-year old African American boy fatally shot by a white Columbus, Ohio, police officer last week said the teenager was shot three times while running away.

“Based on the location and the direction of the wound paths, it is more likely than not that Tyre King was in the process of running away from the shooter or shooters when he suffered all three gunshot wounds,” Diaz said, according to a statement from attorneys Sean Walton and Chanda Brown.

Terence Crutcher, black man shot by Tulsa police, was unarmed

The head of police in Tulsa in the US state of Oklahoma says a black man shot dead by officers on Friday was unarmed.
Authorities are investigating the death of Terence Crutcher, 40, who had his hands in the air when he was shot by his car, relatives say.
Tulsa Police Chief Chuck Jordan said "there was no gun on the suspect or in the suspect's vehicle" and promised justice would be achieved.
Police say they will release a dash cam recording of the shooting.

Disturbing footage from a police helicopter of the moment Mr Crutcher was shot appears to back up his family's assertion that his hands were in the air at all times.

It should be interesting to see what kind of bullshit excuse they come up with for this murder.

Louisiana cop arrested after he’s filmed kicking handcuffed suspect

A police officer in Gretna, Louisiana was fired and arrested after he was caught on camera kicking a burglary suspect who was handicapped and prone, the reported.

Since neither Pineda nor his attorney reported any use of excessive force on his part, the incident did not come to light, said Police Chief Arthur Lawson, until Wallow was the subject of an “internal inquiry” regarding another case.
“It all had been documented,” Lawson said. “It just did not move as quickly as it should have.”
Wallow was placed on administrative leave on Aug. 26 and fired a day later.

So on the one hand one could applaud the actions of the Police Chief for taking action against a thuggish cop.  On the other hand, the story is noticeably silent about the other 3 cops visible in the video who stood there while their pal stomped on the suspect.

So, not quite such a snow-white job there, chief.

And now the Tulsa cops have released the dash cam video of them shooting a man whose hands are in the air.

One does have to wonder why so many cops responded to a simple stalled car in the road?  Apparently, Driving While Black is a capital crime in Tulsa!

Dash cam video shows unarmed black man with hands in air before Tulsa police shoot him dead

The video shows multiple police cruisers approach Crutcher’s vehicle, which appears to be broken down in the middle of the road. Crutcher is seen with his hands in the air. Both hands appear to be empty.

Tulsa police officer who fatally shot Terence Crutcher thought he may have been high on PCP, attorney says

Two things out of this story.  One, can someone show me the Oklahoma statute where "being high on PCP" is a capital crime which allows the cops to shoot someone on sight?

Second.  Listen to the cops in the helicopter.  They seem far more concerned with traffic problems than the fact they just witnessed and recorded a murder.

Man dies of thirst in jail run by Trump-loving sheriff after guards cut off his water for six days

According to inmates, guards allegedly deprived Thomas of water for six days, reported the Journal Sentinel. “If something happens to that man, it’s your fault,” one of the inmates reportedly told guards.
Milwaukee County Jail is under the jurisdiction of Milwaukee Sheriff David A. Clarke, a star in conservative circles after delivering a rousing speech at the Republican National Convention earlier this summer.
Sheriff Clarke is a Trump supporter who came to national attention during the August riots in Milwaukee, when he denigrated the Black Lives Matter movement. Clarke frequently talks about “law and order” and often denigrates “black cultural dysfunction.” How about the dysfunction of letting a man die of thirst while in the care of the state?

I know....just like Freddie Gray I bet this guy committed suicide, too.

‘He didn’t have no gun’: Charlotte cops accused of wrongfully killing disabled black man

The cops say:

Investigators said they saw Scott get out of a car with a gun, then get back in. When officers approached his vehicle, they said, the man “posed an imminent deadly threat to the officers,” prompting them to fire.

And the family says:

“He sits in the shade, reads his book, does his studies, and waits on his kid to get off the bus,” the woman said. “He didn’t have no gun. He wasn’t messing with nobody. All they did, them ‘jumpout boys,’ them undercover detectives, they jumped out their truck, they said, ‘Hands up he got a gun, he got a gun, pow pow pow pow.’ That’s it.”

Somehow I believe her because we've seen it all before.
