‘KKK’ deputies who killed NC man in warrantless search had record of harassing the public

A group of sheriff’s deputies who killed a man during a warrantless search last year privately called themselves “the KKK” and had a long record of harassing and abusing the public.
The reported Thursday that the family of John Livingston, 33, of Lillington, North Carolina is suing six members of the Harnett County Sheriff’s Department over Livingston’s shooting death at the hands of Deputy Nicholas Kehagias in November of 2015.
According to the lawsuit — which has now been joined by five other parties — Kehagias, Deputy Brandon Klingman and Deputy John Knight called themselves “The KKK” and formed a kind of “fight club” gang that terrorized citizens and frequently broke the law.

That's proper form. It's "THE KKK", not "KKK" there.

Cop hangs up on 9-11 call because distressed girl is cursing, then arrests her later

Adrianne Ledesma, of Lincoln Park, Michigan, called 911 after her father collapsed in their kitchen and began seizing, just three weeks after he was hospitalized and underwent brain surgery, 7 Action News reported at that time.

Adrianne didn’t get an answer on her first attempt, so she tried again. Panicked, she said, “What the f***,” while the phone was ringing, but Officer Robert McFarland picked up at exactly that moment.
She asked McFarland for an ambulance to be sent to her address, to which he replied, “Well okay, first of all, you don’t need to swear over 911 and slow down."
 
“OK, send me a f****** ambulance!” Adrianne responded, frustrated.
Adrianne told 7 Action News that she was worried her father was going to die, but she wasn’t given the opportunity to explain that on the call because the officer hung up the phone after she said a swear word.

Chicago officer who fatally shot man relieved of powers

A Chicago police officer who said he shot and killed a black man this week after the teenager pointed a gun at him has been relieved of his police powers, the Chicago Police Department said Saturday.
The sergeant involved in the shooting told investigators that Kajuan Raye, 19, twice pointed a weapon at him, but no gun has been found in the evidence gathering, the department said.
"Based on the little information we know at this point, I have concerns about this incident," police Superintendent Eddie Johnson said.
Johnson said that a preliminary report from the medical examiner's office, which determined Raye had been shot in the back, also figured into his decision to take the officer's gun and badge away.

So his life was threatened by an imaginary gun, huh?

As an ex-911 dispatcher, I will say that you have to get used to hearing a little bit of profanity in that job and you NEVER hang up on a caller.  If someone dropping an F-bomb offends you so much you can't do your job, then you need to find employment elsewhere. Besides, working with cops you'll hear it plenty.
