No, nothing about that scenario warranted the use of deadly force. The cop just knew he could get away with it, because there will always be people such as yourself ready to excuse a cop for murder, essentially giving them a license to kill whom they please.

It's sad and more than a little bit frightening that you would even attempt to justify this.

According to a police report obtained by SFGate, “Officers were able to grab ahold of Brant and take him to the ground. Brant continued to resist officers’ attempts to place him under arrest by tensing his muscles while swinging his arms and kicking his legs. Officers were finally able to place him in handcuffs.”

But they didn't have to shoot him.  I wonder why?
