Most likely, this trend is in a staircase that has ups and downs but overall trending towards one of these two exclusive possibilities. Both salvation and blasphemy have their own thresholds.

Salvation: When trending in this direction, the person is coming to an understanding of what’s required to inherit ‘eternal life’. That person recognizes what God requires (repentance, acceptance of God’s forgiveness, and surrender to God’s authority).

Blasphemy:* When trending in this direction, there is an ongoing animosity towards God (here again, maybe some trepid steps towards salvation’s direction but not enough to change the downward trend).

Thresholds - 1) Salvation, a person crosses over by accepting the Holy Spirit’s promptings towards humility and submission to God’s truth & grace.
2) Blasphemy, a person crosses over when the will of God in one’s life becomes so weak and the rebellion so strong it’s impossible for the individual to then reverse course; they have

willingly and permanently entered into eternal separation from God’s active influence.

Horse laughing is not working, but nice try though. http://www.nizkor.org/features/fallacies...icule.html. Those that haven't secured salvation are daily moving towards it, or blasphemy.

Salvation: When trending in this direction, the person is coming to an understanding of what’s required to inherit some weird unprovable promise of eternal bliss after you die. That person recognizes what The Great Pumpkin requires (repentance, acceptance of God’s forgiveness, and surrender to The Great Pumpkin's authority).

Blasphemy:* When trending in this direction, there is an ongoing animosity towards The Great Pumpkin  (here again, maybe some trepid steps towards salvation’s direction but not enough to change the downward trend).

Thresholds - 1) Salvation, a person crosses over by accepting the The Great Pumpkin's promptings towards humility and submission to The Great Pumpkin's truth & grace.
2) Blasphemy, a person crosses over when the will of The Great Pumpkin  in one’s life becomes so weak and the rebellion so strong it’s impossible for the individual to then reverse course; they have ‘crossed the Rubicon’** which means they have willingly and permanently entered into eternal separation from The Great Pumpkin's active influence. Not many are living that have crossed this threshold since The Great Pumpkin has accessed their condition is permanent and final so He removes them to limit their sinful influence on others.
So probably, the most egregious aspect of the doctrine of eternal punishment is that it is ridiculous, and whoever imagined it is the worst sort of monster imaginable. But The Great Pumpkin shows his love and protection even there by restraining (‘restraint’ is the best translation of the word ’torment’) persons by the amount of evil they are capable of inflicting on others. The more expression of sin from their earthy life, the more restraint.

*N.T. Mark quotes Jesus as saying ‘blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; … guilty of an eternal sin”. The Holy Spirit prompts persons to salvation; the blasphemer repeatedly and knowing defies God.

Everyone believes in God's existence,* but some resist's God authority and like you do this atheistic dance to try to promote the pretense that they have intellectual evidence issues. The issue is really one of securing one's salvation while it's being offer ... 'My spirit shall not always strive with man'.

* Romans 1:20 - For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

If I believed in "God's" existence, I would be a theist. I am not labelled by what some random anonymous fartbrain wrote in a shit book, centuries before I was born, in a time when the wheelbarrow was the epitome of emergent technology.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

No matter how many times theists assert otherwise, I don't believe in any god. And, frankly, those that cannot understand and/or accept that I don't believe in the existence of such a creature while insisting I'm an atheist because I'm angry at god or want to live a sinful lifestyle or whatever are being incredibly insulting.

So, go fuck yourself, snowtracks.

If this were the case, then Christianity wouldn't need to spread itself.  You wouldn't have to have churches, or the bible.  Yet funny enough... you don't hear about someone living in a remote village proclaiming Christ to be the savior of all mankind.  So I'm going to say Bullshit.  No surprise, since it comes from a book that was written by dessert dwellers who worshiped an invented sociopath.

Nope.  A huge segment of the world's population will disagree with that statement.

You need to re-read what Snowtracks stated. Next you should learn more about the history of the Israelites and then the history of the Bible, especially before making such unfounded statements. I just stopped in for a few minutes to see what was up and probably want be back soon enough to answer any replies sorry, still busy with my project it's been a challenge.
