I certainly don't think a woman is at all to be blamed as a victim of rape - THAT WOULD BE INSANE.
But is it more likely that an extremely beautiful and youthful woman is to be raped than a hideously ugly and incredibly old one (for instance)? I think so. These are two different things though... right?
...Likelihood and blame are different. Difference. Right? That's my point anyway.

I haven't read this whole rape debate, but I'll give my input anyway. Forgive me if it's already been said. Rape is not a sexual crime. It has nothing to do with sex and everything to do with power. I really don't think it matters what a woman looks like or what she wears. Men rape because of power, not because some hotty in a mini skirt turned them on.
Now continue.

I didn't know about the statistics. But I still didn't blame any victims so I don't see the connection there at all.
I still don't see how it's got nothing to do with sex though. Because rape is forced sex but forced sex still involves sex. Just as if euthanasia was legalized it would be legal killing and not murder but it would still be killing.

Of course rape is forced sex, but sex doesn't motivate rape. Power does. That is what I meant. A rapist is not motivated to rape because he's horny.

Have you ever been to a Hooters and noticed a bouncer there? Ever wonder why he's there and not at an Applebees instead?

Am I right in thinking that homosexual rape is less common? (as homosexuality is less common(?)) And if it's got nothing to do with sexuality and only power, I wonder why this is? (if this is indeed the case).
I accept that studies have been done that rape is indeed about power - I just would like to know why gay rape is less common then, assuming that is the case.

Before I was married my best friend was a gay man. He was raped by a police officer (male). This was an act of power. Needless to say the crime went unreported. I suspect if gay rape is less common it's because it just isn't reported.
