Guess what state I was in?
#21
RE: Guess what state I was in?
I don't get it. I'm a Southerner, born in Texas, raised in SE Georgia and SW Louisiana. I live in SE Missouri.

I am basically as Dixie-bred as it is humanly possible to be. I also think our federal government is in many ways out of control and doing at least as much harm as good, since money has corrupted the political process.

And yet, when I see that billboard, all I can think is "traitors".
A Christian told me: if you were saved you cant lose your salvation. you're sealed with the Holy Ghost

I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love.

That's the difference maybe. I was born and raised in Ohio and was practically an adult when I moved to Georgia.

I wonder if they'd whistle a different tune if they were suddenly given permission to secede.

I wonder what they'd do if we told 'em to GTFO.
