Very familiar with the biblical mythical global flood and how it plagiarized it from the Epic of Gilgamesh...gotta love mythology

When listening to the Bible Reloaded, they mentioned that "forty days and forty nights" is a recurring phrase in the bible, and may not be meant literally. Instead it may be a phrase meaning "a long time". I think they had further justification for it as well, but I can't remember.

The Noah flood story is simply a war story describing how an army swept through the area killing, raping, and pillaging everything in its path from the lowest areas to the highest. The word "flood" is used to describe this event because it was irresistible. The story uses metaphors to describe war and peace. Besides, all of the countries that existed when Adam & Eve were running around naked in the Garden of Eden existed after the "flood" without any harmful effect.
Can we please put some nails in Noah's flood coffin? It's worse than a damn zombie.
