These nuts need to be opposed but there is no chance their extremist agenda is realized. Even if they had a Republican-led congress and a Republican President, the courts system stops them. They would need constitutional amendments before they could get dangerous and they're not going to get that.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.
