You should probably take your own advice, Daniel.

Thor is the Norse God, who was being worshipped far before your Jesus was even a thing. He was co-opted into a Marvel comic book hero, yes, but Thor was well establised in Proto-Germanic religions before Christianity.

So, you answered my question. You "know" Thor is make belief through sheer willful ignorance.

Disgraceful.

prove we came from soup

Don't try moving the goalposts when you make statements you can't substantiate.

This conversation has nothing to do with the fact of evolution.

Prove the statements you just made or be honest enough to admit that you can't.

I'm just commenting how strange I think atheism is

What empty tomb...
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Where is this empty tomb? I'd like to go see it. How do you know about the empty tomb?

There are many more ancient empty tombs - that have actually been found! - in Egypt and elsewhere.

Guess they all resurrected too.

Again, we have these tombs and they've been investigated. We don't have the tomb of Jesus and the only claims of an empty tomb are from his followers, which are contradictory. Can you provide non-biblical citation, please.

Also, you haven't provided any evidence that Thor is mythical.

well Jesus said there is only one God and he rose from the dead to prove all He said was true so I'm going to reject all other people who claim to know the truth

Sigh...

How do you know that Jesus said that? How do you know he rose from the dead?

Why are any other claims automatically rejected? Are you in a cult?

Holy crap.  I actually missed that bit.

Careful, Daniel, your ignorance of world religions is showing...

Then there's something you need to know, so listen close: you are doing it wrong. There is no possible worse way to go about that stated goal; you're actually achieving the reverse of what you "want" to happen. If your actual goal is what you say here, then you need to stop what you've been doing in these threads right now before you cause more damage.

There is a right way to go about this, though! You just need to understand that you're talking to people and not a homogeneous mass of atheist cartoon characters your pastor drew for you in sermon. We're real live human beings who value things, not the opposing number in a Chick Tract who've just plumb never heard of this Jaysus fella before! You want to save our souls? You really, really have that as your goal in coming here? Then you need to drop the stuff that clearly isn't working and find something actually effective, which will not be found within the pages of your bible. It will be found in reliable, falsifiable, testable reality. You'll convince us on our terms: demanding that we lower ourselves to your presuppositions is not going to work. You do want it to work, right?

Also? Maybe at least give us the respect of knowing what our positions are before you scoff at them, which would require dropping the insulting "you all think we came from bananas and rocks!" crap right now.
