General perception of atheists?

RE: General perception of atheists?
Quote:1.Spaghetti monster, it's already been created(the idea), & yes it's fun for us because WE understand it, but to a person who believes wholeheartedly in a personal creator, it's incredibly offensive, are there better ways to achieve the same result when we refer to the spaghetti monster? Or is it a necessity?

Just move to the UK, nobody here cares Smile
The meek shall inherit the Earth, the rest of us will fly to the stars.

Never underestimate the power of very stupid people in large groups

Arguing with an engineer is like wrestling with a pig in mud ..... after a while you realise that the pig likes it!

Or, if they do, you can generally count on those nearby joining you in mocking them for it.

RE: General perception of atheists?
Can one reasonably expect that a theist, disgusted by those who won't fall to their knees and worship his or her ancient god, could somehow be swayed by a few minor concessions?

I don't think so.
The very idea that atheists even exist is what actually offends many religious types, so there's no point in going out of the way to kiss their collective ass.
