Nation States (browser-based game)
June 1, 2010 at 5:54 pm
Has any one played it?
Nation States I searched and didn't notice a thread regarding this, and it's an interesting game. Perhaps some of you may like it. It's free, browser-based, and simple. You handle two issues a day (you have to set the game to two issues in "settings") as the overseer of the country that you create, there are all sorts of situations to handle that add a good bit of depth. Here's my country as an example:

Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day

I guessed your nation's qualities before seeing it, must have been the common libertarian ground/beliefs

I have yet to get the event where I can change this taxes are "even higher for the wealthy".
Your best bet is to set that in the beginning, but I'm sure you'll get it eventually....I haven't though.

I played it. It sucks. You don't interact with other states. The questions repeat over time. Then their board went down and I couldn't sign on when it came back up. My account became inactive and my nation sunk into the ocean.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan
Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.
Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.
You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.
