If you're talking about Silk Road then you mean the Dark Web, not the Deep Web. There's a big difference between the two.

Also, lots of good advice here. Virus scan with Avira, although if you can afford Kaspersky use that. Backup as much as possible.

Okay so I went to the lavatory and then rdelzeturned.... my computer screen was completely black and wouldn't respond. I was shitting myself. I hit control + alt + del and that screen would show, with all blue Windowsy 7 colours... then I looked at task manager and no aplications were running at all. I took control + alt + del menu back off....

...completely black screen again.

I rebooted the computer.

It restarted and showed the log in screen... I logged in and.... all black again.

So I restarted and did a system restore to an an early date... 2 days ago in fact... now it's no longer lagging and it all shows up again.

Maybe that's all it was... but now it's not lagging I guess a virus scan wouldn't hurt it.

AVG free detected nothing at all btw, it said it was all clear... I'll try Avira though.

Is it worth trying Malware Bytes too btw? It never seems to find any Malware really.... but this computer is only a few months old after all.

OMG   (no, that doesn't mean I believe in god)    I log off for a few hours, you have another BSOD.

You got a LOT of good advice though.  All I can say is . . . don't let that thing overheat.  Have someone check it out.  Don't take it to GeekSquad (BestBuy).  

Rooting for ya, Evie.  I hope you get it sorted out soon.  I hope you have a friend nearby who won't charge you much for taking a look. (Is it still under warranty?  Take it back to where you bought it first.)

No friends to help with this and I can't afford even the cheapest of solutions.

I'm pretty much preparing from the best computer I've ever had to become broken soon, and I've only had it a few months.

I'm gonna have to use my phone... sigh. My posting is gonna super slow down
