They may as well. Then we could kick off the phony birthday celebration of Jesus on the day honoring the guy who didn't discover the Americas.

Yeah, the xmas stuff was showing up here before Halloween is well. I was in Target on Oct 30th, and their small Halloween section was already shoved aside and on sale, while a ton of xmas crap was out. [Image: 2i8d4ao.gif]

Yep, started in Oct. Got one (maybe more) radio station with the 24/7 xmas music.

Went to the mall today to pick up new sandals (thanks puppy). Fucking xmas explosion. I think the shoe isles were the only ones where I didn't see them pushing buying xmas gifts. Stocking stuffer's, perfect for co workers/party, last minute gifts (what the fucking hell, LAST MINUTE) and on and on.
I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem.

Got back from Malta (where they haven't started yet) to find all the ads on TV, and a fully-decorated Christmas tree already put up in Birmingham Airport.

The ads, to a degree, I kind of understand, these companies want to get their hustle on and make money. NO excuse for trees or decorations anywhere yet though, can we at least wait until December? My Mum's birthday is on December 8th and she is adamant every year that we do not do Christmas before her birthday.

I think British people just do it because we have fuck all else to be happy about once Bonfire Night is gone. It's freezing cold, it's dark, it's wet and it's windy, we just want something to look forward to. It's still bloody stupid though.

Yes, totally too early. Thanksgiving seems like a holiday that doesn't even exist anymore.
