Cold War 2?

Ever since the Paris attacks I've been thinking, is the world in another cold war?
Think about it, the cold war was a time of political tension and numerous proxy wars. Russia before the Paris terrorist attacks were targeting US backed troops in Syria, the Syrian civil war is a proxy war for many powers. There was also the Crimean crisis which took place a year or 2 ago where Russia annexed Crimea which alarmed the EU and the US. Their is also the war in donbass taking place right between Ukraine and the DPR/LPR with the rebels being backed by Russia. There is also the South Ossetia conflict going on right now in Georgia with the rebels being backed by Russia.
What about the South China Sea debacle that went on recently. It really makes me wonder whether or not this could be the start of the second cold war. Or maybe I'm just overdramatic and think too much into things.
