Most of those are very stupid. I despise any kind of clothing that people are forced to wear, particularly the ridiculous things they make women wear. If it was entirely their choice and they wore it, then fine. But I don't think for a second this is the case. The burqa seems like the worst offender here, although some of those others aren't far behind. Shame on you if you make women wear that shit.

Of that list, the burqas. Though in general, I find those 'prairie' dresses and bonnets women involved in US religious cults like the FDLS and Amish wear pretty fucking outrageous too. I think it's just the fact you see those women wandering around amongst normal people looking like they time traveled straight out of 1770 and landed in the middle of a Target or Walmart.

personally I find the the 19th century clothing charming. Perhaps not for everyday wear but I wouldn't mind one of those dresses, they're rather quaint.

I got Burqa confused with Hijab. I thought Hijab was the one that covers the whole body. I vote burqa. Those things are so fucking stupid.

You seem to exclude all the christian foolishness, so I'm not going to vote. What about the Amish, what about the Mormons and their magic underwear? Also,, kind of a Hirjab is still populqar with many devout catholic women in rural regions oon central Europe.

To the OP, I think all pieces of clothing worn by reasons like "modesty" are stupid but I have no problem people wearing them for cultural reasons or because they're used to it. As long as people are doing it for themselves, it's their business. The Burqa is particularly insane because of how much it covers.
