They must have 'sent down' that iron with a lot of force to send it all the way to the planet's core. Either that, or iron is a large part of what the planet earth is made up of to begin with. Which idea sounds more scientifical?

Iron is a part of what earth is made from. It is in the mix of elements the earth formed out of. It is not 'how iron get to the earth'.

Iron was not "sent down" which gives the impression earth was already formed and Iron was "sent down" later.

from where you get the impression that the earth was already formed?? the verse just mentioned that the iron was sent down and wasnt formed in the earth itself and didnt mention anything about how was the earth in this time

It seemed more like the standard religious argument from incredulity: "I have no idea how X works, so instead of simply doing a little research to see if any scientists have their own, plausible explanations, I'm just going to say "God/Allah did it." and paste it on a bunch of forums to show how smart I am."
