Debating plopping down $15 on Nier:Automata for my PC. I never got past the intro on the XBOX but I love the game's aesthetic.

I'm finally in the top 5 percent of active players on chess.com on rapid games.

I felt the urgent need to brag about this as soon as I hit the 5 percent mark.

My elo is 1388, with 1044 wins, 944 losses and 158 draws.

I'm nearly in the top million globally. My global rank is 1036382. Which isn't bad for the whole world.

My elo on lichess is higher but I don't really count that because I barely use the site and I heard the elo is inflated on there.

I'm restricting myself to one game a day so I can really focus on it and study it after.
I'm slightly worried because I heard cheaters are more common the higher you get.

I've tried faster chess games, blitz and bullet and its just not for me, my elo is like 600-700, I just can't think that fast, half hour rapid games are about right for me.

My elo improved by 1 today to get me to 1389, after a win from a simple blunder, a loss from a simple blunder and a draw from playing badly but being lucky enough my opponent didn't notice and we ended up in a drawn position.

I was at 1395 after my first win, it went down to 1388, the person I drew with was a higher rated player so I gained 1 elo from the draw.

I should have stuck to my rule of 1 game a day but I saw how close i was to 1400 and I wanted it too much.

I want to get to 1400 elo too badly it's probably going to get to me psychologically.

I felt the same reaching 1000, 1100, 1200 and 1300.

Chess. Getting 1400 elo isn't happening.

I keep getting as high as 1397 then losing, the last two games I won the first getting me up to 1396 then lost putting me down to 1388.

I'm still in the top 5 percent which has always been my goal but being so close to 1400 and not getting it is fucking annoying.
I should be grateful, it was only last year I was looking up at 1300 players like they're grandmasters now I've beaten a few high level 1400 players, 1499 is my best win against some Saudi man.

When I say it isn't happening, it might happen, but not on this hot sweaty day.

I always played 4 games today just to try and make it happen, lose win win lose were the results.
