For me it's the Mass Effect trilogy. I also really liked the music for Deus Ex: Human Revolution and the Borderlands games. I also really like the music that plays when not in combat in Elder Scrolls and Fallout games.

Why's it every time I hit the Renaissance in Civ 4 I start jonesing for Hovis. The Civ series always has good soundtracks, and I also like the compositions for the Paradox games.
But for me doing drive bys to 99Luftballoons in GTA:VC is the best musical gaming moment I've had.

For as much as I rave about it, I can't believe I haven't posted any of the music from Xenogears. Its composer is Yasunori Mitsuda, also known for the Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross soundtracks:
