I was thinking about this one the other day. The thing is, drugs are much easier to make than guns. They or their components are naturally found or easily produced. It's harder to make a gun no doubt, so it's easier to control them than drugs and access to them can be restricted much more efficiently.

No, condoms are used by more educated and less religious people. They should always be available no matter class or education or race or nationality.

Christians and Muslims on the religious right hate reproduction rights, and they also like defending their religion with guns.

That's why I'm saying they should be mandatory for some sectors of society.

NO, that kind of cherry picking is exactly what Hitler did. I am not accusing you of wanting to go there, but that is the bad logic that lead Hitler to be selective about who could be trusted with guns. The Allies including America put heavy  weapons and gun regulations on Germany after WW1, Hitler was the one who relaxed gun ownership, but only did so for party loyalists and German nationalists. 



The 2nd Amendment has no party oath, no class oath, or religious oath, or race oath to buy one. If it is a right afforded by any legal citizen with no record,  then you don't get to cherry pick who gets one. Unfortunately all that is required right now, is being a non criminal with no record. 

Are you going to say there never can be, or are not, liberals who can be trusted with a firearm? Are you going to say that there are no blacks or Hispanics who can be trusted with a gun? You are going to assume that there have never been or never will be a non violent Muslim living here who cant be trusted with one? Problem is the First amendment allows any legal citizen the freedom of religion, you think we should not have freedom of religion? 

Guns are not a religion or race or class issue. They are a flooded market issue. It is stupid to falsely assume that a any citizen who has no record at legal time of buy cant or wont go on to injure themselves or someone in their home or kill themselves or someone in their home or neighborhood? The gun injury and death epidemic, is also not about legal vs illegal. The gun death epidemic is a stat, and no matter how someone gets one, they are more likely to hurt themselves or someone they know.

And I am going to post the following again, because even legal gun buyers stupidly think that target shooting is all there is, and telling you to lock it up at home is all there is. There is a huge difference how your body reacts under stress. Most gun users, including legal buyers do not have crisis shooting training. That is when someone is firing back at you.

It is a myth that the good guy always wins. Most of the time when you introduce a gun into a conflict, you are more likely to get killed than kill someone. And most of the time when someone uses a gun on you, they already have  position of advantage that will not give you time to draw yours. Police and Military are trained to handle crisis shootings, laypeople are not.

And even with police having guns, they get killed too. The two Tea Party nuts in Vegas murdered two armed cops by ambushing them, then walked over to the Walmart and shot murdered an armed civilian who had his gun drawn on them.  What finally stopped them were law that had the tactical training and the foreknowledge of the event, so they had time to prepare.

So unless you are going to demand laws that ban legal citizens based on race and religion and family background, then maybe you need to face that we make too many and even with legal buyers, most do not have the training to use them in a crisis situation when someone is shooting back at them.

No link to the meme. President Lincoln posted on twitter yesterday that he was a vampire.

But lets pretend that meme was true. They also have a more educated society, and less of a pay gap, better health care, they also have a smaller population, and most likely don't make more than the population can handle. They also most likely have a better vetting system because they don't have a flooded market. And I also bet they don't worship guns like they are humans.

Then don't say certain segments of the population. That is exactly how the Nazis determined which Germans could be trusted with them. I am not accusing anyone of wanting to become Hitler, I am saying that bad logic can be institutionalized by government and abused by either party.

The better tactic is apply a better vetting system to everyone, regardless of label, and a better mental health test, and mandated crisis training. And stop allowing the makers to pump out so many.
