(of a person) engaging or ready to engage in physically energetic pursuits. "I needed to change my lifestyle and become more active" 2. doing things for an organization, cause, or campaign, rather than simply giving it one's support. "she was an active member of the church" Definition 2 would be the one that applies to antitheism.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

Excited Penguin Wrote:One can be a homo sapiens without identifying as such. Creationists come to mind. I've never met a creationist who doesn't accept the label 'homo sapiens'. But it's possible to so do. Some categories are so concrete that a person is completely justified in imposing their own understanding over the person who is in error. Other categories are more nuanced, and a thoughtful person considers that they might be the one who is wrong, or that the category is so nebulous that their is room for honest disagreement. For instance, the term 'adult' is somewhat arbitrary. Someone who calls themselves an adult at five is simply wrong, but someone who calls themselves an adult at 15 may be able to make a case for it.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
Ok well the definition seems to have a broad range of applications. The opposition to organised religion, yes I'm opposed to that. The opposition to any belief in a deity, I'm not opposed to that. The opposition to beliefs in specific deities, it depends who the deity is and so on.
So then to cut a long story short, it depends how you want to apply the word anti theist. Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them. Impersonation is treason. See, one problem is in the lack of clarity and consensus re: the definition of anti-theism. And the fact that your take on it is somewhat dualistic. There are too many parameters for me to consider to even answer the question adequately. But anti-theism . . . the ISM seems to be the problem, but it still applies to the worship of a deity. It's not the belief in a deity, or even the worship of such a concept, that I object to. It's the religion. And that isn't even ALL religions, just the ones that have certain qualities. You're implying that something is simple, but I find it quite complex.
