I replied to one of your posts and then a debate ensued from there. I'm not supposed to read everything you ever posted in your entire life prior to having a discussion with you. You remain on topic on what we're debating. If I'm not bringing up the teachers, you don't just start talking about them out of the blue. What the fuck?

You just have to read what you're responding to. Ain't hard.

What exactly is meant by arming the teachers? I think anyone who wants a gun should get one, provided they are shown to be mentally healthy and that they receive constant training and evaluation for it. But I don't think people who don't work in the security sphere or as policemen or what have you should be forced to carry fire weapons.

Right, so, now that we know what we're all talking about, is there any disagreement -on that-? People wanting guns and getting them has nothing to do with arming the teachers, lol. Teachers can already -own- guns. No one needs to propose this for it to become a reality. What's been proposed is getting teachers to bring heat -to a school-, as some sort of misguided security measure.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

You ignored what I said and started talking about teachers. You're claiming it wasn't a strawman, but I'm sorry buddy, it was. You're just not willing to admit it, that's all.

Is it really that more Americans want guns?
Or is it just that the Americans who already have guns want more of them?
I must not be nasty. I must not be nasty. I must not be nasty. I must not be nasty. I must not be nasty. I must not be nasty. I must not be nasty. I must not be nasty.

Mostly the latter, far as can be told.

Here's another genius with a gun.  This will not end well.

On the 'arming teachers' thingy.

1. This shouldn't be done.

2. If it is done, it can't be done without the fact becoming general knowledge.

3. Once it becomes generally known that teachers are armed, dangerous lunatics who want to shoot school children will simply shoot the teacher first, THEN the kids.

This idea is a tornado of stupid.

I agree with you on that, then.

Ohio has a program going to get teachers armed in the classroom.
