RE: Silent Hill 2 analysis

I really loved Silent Hill 2, but my core analysis and outlook on the game is, and likely always will be, open ended. Silent Hill games at times don't have specific, direct meanings. I think the way it is designed allows for personal reflection on the game. I do like watching analysis videos but I also like to maintain my own personal views on these kinds of things.
Silent Hill 2 was such a great game (wish so much discrete sexual content, you wouldn't even know), and there's so many angles that you can approach the endings, and of course much of the content, from that it becomes less of a game and more of a cult classic. Much like Half - Life, people are to this day speculating on a game that is more than ten years old. The hallmark of a masterpiece.
I may have to bookmark these videos and watch later. Thanks for sharing.

Cool series. Can't believe I hadn't considered the idea that the other human characters are projections of James.

Honestly I was kicking myself for not thinking of it considering how much time I've spent playing/thinking about the game.
In the Leave ending, occurred to me that Laura could very well just be leading James back to the beginning to play this out all over again, which makes so much more sense than it used to.

Yeah! I've played it through probably at least 20 times.
Many of the things he points out seem "obvious", after you've seen them. But they're like a needle in a haystack when you haven't. He's dead on that the whole "James is sexually frustrated" is an extremely superficial analysis. It must have left the developers chuckling to themselves.
By the way, if anyone hasn't played this game... What are you doing? Go fucking play it now!

There is a PC version, yeah. Whether you can get hold of it for a reasonable price, I'm not sure.
