'Prove claims' question.
|
Good. But it would be if I didn't put the guy's name right? If I pretended it was my own. I'd made it up myself, etc. You have to at least put the name?
To be honest there would be hardly anything the guy could do, and it would be completely unworthy of following with charges of any sorts. Anyway, most quotes on the internet are probably misquoted from somewhere.

I love to quote.
As Herman Finkers put it: "Like President Kennedy said: "Wasn't it Homerus who wrote: "Originality the the most beautiful thing""".

Yeah. Quoting rox. I want to put the name though.
Evf.
CoxRox, I'm not sure where the leap between atoms and the creator is. "I think, therefore God is"?
From our discussion on the nature of gods, didn't you end up with a transdimensional, thoughtless, desireless string of undecaying matter? Apart from it being slightly "out there", it doesn't even resemble a God anymore. It's just "a part of the universe that always was". No plan, no conscious, nothing. Just matter. So if we put it this way... "atoms and life to me are evidence for a transdimensional, thoughtless, desireless string of undecaying matter which creates universes", it starts to look a little non sequitar. But like you said, we obviously see it differently and will only end up going around in circles over this. Suppose we'll call it even for now
Yep. Call it even. If you want to say anything else about why you believe in God on this topic thats great CR. IF you don't want to, thats fine.
But either way I invite any other theists of course.
I mentioned it in the shoutbox yesterday, but that is a typical example of the "god of the gaps". As more and more gets explained by science, the smaller the role of that god becomes.

Yep God of the Gaps is fun as long as its not malicious and its kept personally. Kept to thyself
After all its fun watching the gaps gradually reducing in number and size over time. While you still live (or I still live anyway lol). Don't know if you agree |
