On Apes?

On Apes?
That's an abomination. A voltage controlled device and a current controlled device should never be paired together. Thus sayeth the lord.

Amen brother.

For the people playing at home, re: the OP, meet chromosome 2.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

I was wondering, is there much scientific history about apes that is known?

I know people like Jane Goodall and others have studied apes up close. But what of their evolutionary history?

Do we know at what stage gorillas, orangutans and chimps came into being, or what exactly they evolved from? We know that humans did not evolve from apes, that apes and humans indeed are separate and distinct species, and always have been.

I find it kind of strange to think that even though humans have 98-99% identical dna to chimps, we are so very much different than chimps and other apes. We seem much more than animals of any kind.

Unlike apes, human beings can form complex societies, compose music, tell stories, use language, seek to discover knowledge for knowledge's sake, and yes, develop religion.

Sad to think, but all orangutans, gorillas and chimps are atheists. Sad . But then again, according to Christianity, they also lack immortal souls, so Hell is not something for them to be concerned about Smile !!

Any knowledge of the evolutionary status of apes, or how and to what extent they are related to humans?

Kind of a shame this ape does not exist anymore. He would be a living King Kong! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gigantopithecus

Pretty much everything in your post is ignorant and incorrect.  Read a book.
Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.

The amp has a very lively sound and a peculiar way to distort when driven hard which sounds rather pleasant and tube-like. I think it gets quite the unusual spectrum of nonlinear distortions from this asymmetric design which can sound much more appealing than what one is used to from ordinary transistor circuits

Yeah, there's nothing about that image that's consensual.
