I'm sure that you think so. Apparently the Democratic establishment has a different opinion.
That must be why this happened: http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/...ie-sanders
Just to highlight the most important words from the first sentence of the article: Representative Tulsi Gabbard resigned from her post as vice-chair of the Democratic National Committee on Sunday, in order to support Bernie Sanders in his run for the party’s presidential nomination.
She's likely not the only person who supports Sanders in the party; she certainly won't be the last to support him.
Besides, didn't I already explain in another thread that Sanders won the Democratic nomination in Vermont for his Senate seat, then turned down the nomination, and the Democratic Party decided not to nominate another candidate, and actively supported the independent Sanders for the ticket. The Democratic establishment aren't against Sanders because he's an independent. They are against him because:
1) He's running against Clinton, who is their favorite.
2) He's an anti-establishment candidate.

The one thing I've learned about American politics - besides the fact that it's not a real democracy - is that being grossely unqualified for the job is a virtue for consideration as a presidential candidate.

The WIN/Gallup End of Year Survey 2013 found the US was perceived to be the greatest threat to world peace by a huge margin, with 24% of respondents fearful of the US followed by: 8% for Pakistan, and 6% for China. This was followed by 5% each for: Afghanistan, Iran, Israel, North Korea. -LINK

So what? They started that bullshit when they got caught hacking the DNC's computers. "Oh, the DNC is against Bernie!" Hardly news. That, btw, was the first time I ever heard of Gabbard.

1 - Everybody knows that.
2- He's been in Congress since 1990. To my mind it doesn't get much more "establishment" than that.

Firstly, they didn't "hack" the DNC's computers. I explained this to you at the time. I hack stuff for a living; what the Sanders campaign did wasn't hacking. They managed to access Clinton data via a normal database query. It was a failure in access control caused my failures on the DNC's part. Sure, once the person discovered they could do it, they should have stopped and reported it immediately rather than continue to search, but that doesn't mean the guy was "hacking".
Secondly, I don't see your point that "everyone knows that". I was explaining why the DNC don't like him.
Finally, if you think an independent congressman from Vermont, who doesn't hold much power in Congress, isn't a big player in either party, is an example of an "establishment" politician, I really want to know what you think an anti-establishment politician is.

When Sanders backers play up Clinton's establishment status, it's not because she's been a politician forever. It's because of her involvement with business interests who largely control the economy, and her personal interests in keeping the MIC propped up. It's unfathomable that anyone could take seriously her talk about improving conditions for the poor or working class when she was a board member of Wal-Mart.
