The Republicans Against Trump will float toward Cruz in hopes of defeating Trump. Cruz will not have it easy--because evangelical states are becoming fewer and further between. But it'll probably be enough for a brokered convention, which the Republicans ultimately want. They might not choose Cruz there, though I think they might be stuck between a rock and a hard place.

We'll have to see how many delegates he gained on Trump but I'm sure he gained. He even won Maine which is not an evangelical state. I think the demographics pointed to a Cruz night but not by this degree. The attacks on Trump are having a definite effect. Not all his supporters are smoking hookahs. It remains to be seen if Cruz can even pass Trump in actual delegates - never mind get enough to win the nomination outright. The attacks will have to reach more people to do that. By the same token though, It's looking ever more doubtful that Trump will be able to win the nomination outright. It's sure looking like a brokered convention.

What's nice about Trump is that he's getting more and more people that normally didn't give a fuck about politics to start looking into things and get more involved. A goal of the elite is to keep people poor so they have to spend so much time working along with distracting them with fictional TV and movies that they have no time to think about politics, so they don't get involved and allow the establishment to carry on unhindered. People on the left and right and even in the middle are waking up to the control mechanisms that have been put in place, and starting to pay attention. Especially now that we are seeing the establishment turn on Trump, things will start to come out in the open because we are forcing them to show their hand. As 2016 progresses, I think people are going to finally start waking up, whether they support Trump or not. The establishment are in panic mode, and they are going to show their power and people will finally see it.
It looks like Cruz gained 15 delegates on Trump tonight. Rubio on the other hand, now needs something like 68-69% of the remaining delegates to win. Stick a fork in "Little Marco". He's done - unless he is chosen at a brokered convention against the will of the voters. I'd LOVE to see the backlash against the party if they did that. So it's Trump or Cruz.
Hillary has to be smiling right now. She's going to face one of two weak opponents - both despised by their own party.

Cruz frightens me a lot more. Trump is an entertainer who is feeding red meat to an audience hungry for it. Cruz is a genuine psychopath whose many hatreds are very real and personal.

His actions make it clear he's not for anyone else, especially not the working stiff. He's an asshole, a misogynist, a racist, and cares only about winning. . He knows nothing about the economy or foriegn affairs. His policies change by the minute. He makes up facts. He insults rather than replies. He will say anything he thinks will get a visceral response. He's borderline fascist. The GOP is panicked. And well they should be. They've created Frankenstein's monster. But, make no mistake, he is a monster. I am an atheist, and given the choice, I'd take Cruz before Trump. And I'm sure Trump is no real Christian. Trump believes in the main chance for Trump and nothing else. We can discuss your paranoia about an elite conspiracy some other time.

The only plan the republicunts have is to prevent Trump from winning a first ballot nomination. It seems to me that the establishment would rather blow the party sky-high than allow someone they did not own to win. BTW, that includes Cruz who is a hated little shitstain. Rubio is a good little boy who would do what he is told.
On the democratic side, Sanders won two the two caucus states and lost in Louisiana. I checked before the day started and the delegate count was Clinton 1033 Sanders 429 Diff. 604 As of a few moments ago it was: Clinton 1,121 B. Sanders 479 Uncommitted 171 Diff. = 642 Which reminds me of: |
