"Men are all pigs"
"Men are all pigs"
I don't understand your point.

LFC, in your last post you were pointing out the historical suffrage of women because they didn't have the right to vote.

Have you heard of wars?

What do wars have to do with women's suffrage?

If you don't understand the point of me pointing out a historical suffrage of men, then I don't understand the point of you pointing out a historical suffrage of women, either.
What kind of response were you expecting to your pointing out the historical suffrage of women not being able to vote?

In your post you said that historically speaking men were privileged. War was just one example to refute your claim. Men were never privileged, unless you count getting murdered in the battlefield - a privilege.

Okay...men used to get drafted against their will, yes (they also had the legal right to physically beat there wives to any degree necessary in order to make them obey). Do they still get drafted? What changed?

But males have always been in a position to dictate male rights, women have not. Men used to get drafted, but who put that law into place, oh ya, it was men. Women's rights where being decided by men, it has never been the other way around.

Your arguments are as simple as you clearly are.

Pool, your strange point of view on this issue is becoming clear to me now. You seem to have created some kind of warped straw man argument for yourself just so that you have something to pound your chest over. You're going on this, "who gets abused worse: men or women? Because believe me, it's MEN!" Crusade, when the actual problem we should be working to solve is, how do we as a society do everything in our power to advocate for ALL PEOPLE regardless of gender (race, sexuality, ect) having equal rights under the law as human beings. Frankly, making it a competition between men and women is childish, and completely missing the bigger moral question. Human rights should apply to all humans...hence the phrase...So, I'll ask it again: why do you take all of this so damn personal?

And just to point out, according to your own ideas about gender roles, men function as providers and protectors, so in order to satisfy your world view, men should be beating down doors in order to get themselves enlisted. What exactly is your gripe here? Ever heard of having your cake and eating it too?
