You're not so Godless.

We cannot even comprehend the idea of independence: everything to us -by default- is defined with the same image -that is us-: a client being served; a cause and effect.
If worship is -in its core- a service, then how is an atheist considered to be a "Godless" human being?

Isn't it more accurate to describe the person's God, as him/herself, his/her nation, his/her government?
If somebody spent all of their lives "worshiping" themselves and claiming to be "atheists", wouldn't that tell us that there are no true atheists?

Consider whatever holy, and spend them years building it up obsessively; and here you go: that's your God.

Humans are made to worship. Made to serve.
Atheism might be defined more accurately with it being the lack of belief in a certain "God(s)", but not all Gods. Every person has a God after all. Nobody is Godless.

Can you give a proper definition of God?

Sure. He's that guy out there that...ya know...does stuff. Has a white robe. Something about sin..right?!

I'm so godless, I should be the antichrist.

That's easy: Mohammad mind drippings that relied heavily on by then ancient Jewish tradition, memorized and jotted down posthumously by sycophants, interpreted by Atlas.

I think Atlas makes a great point here, oh hang on, read it wrong.

His definition seems to be 'whatever gives you the feels'.

Humans are so weak. You can break them, physically or spiritually.

Some are weak. They need imaginary friends to keep them safe. But they're so weak they don't know the safety is illusionary.

I chose not to be weak. I survived.

Leaving aside the- well deserved- snark, I'd like to see Atlas address the clear fallacy in his "position" that I pointed out. Even if what he was saying wasn't just a petulant spasm to cover for his complete lack of evidence, the argument itself is a non-starter. It's interesting that the guy will whine about sarcastic responses, but when someone actually dissects his statements critically, he's nowhere to be found.

You've just put your finger on why we tend to make up religions featuring deities that are suspiciously anthropomorphic.

He didn't respond when I pointed it out either... maybe he requires there to be three witnesses?
