Depends what the goal is. If the goal is to cause some horrific shit throughout history and still somewhat to this day - then it's accomplished a lot.

Good point. I should of said "since when has belief in god accomplish anything good."

Take away the word 'good' and you'll see that it has accomplished quite alot.Devil

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

How does this not apply to your view of god?

It's like the blind leading the blind : Your assumption that you know something leads you to believe that you know, and so on. I wouldn't quite call it arrogance as it is based more on blindness than anything else. The same applies to the majority in the scientific community (read : clique).

I wouldn't call atheists so much 'blind' as 'not deluded.'
We don't see certain things because they're not there. They never were.
The difference between people see god in the world and the people who don't (read: us) is because we don't delude ourselves by assuming god is there. We demand proof. Evidence.
And every "theory" that involves god always involves some impact on the world that would have evidence when there is none and never has been any.

Everything you just said is based on your belief system.

Well, it's certainly not based on yours. Since yours isn't based on anything apparently. You have said yourself you "believe because you believe".

You didn't answer my questions. That's ok though, I didn't think you would anyway.

Even if I had some belief system, at least it doesn't involve baseless assertions (unlike yours).
I don't go around claiming things then go on to say I can't support my claims at all but I just believe because I do.

So even if...big fucking IF! I had a belief system. At least it doesn't involve baseless assertions.

You're dumb.

You do have a belief system, and a very powerful one apparently.

Explain. Explain my belief system in detail please. [Image: toetap.gif]

My assumption? Beliefs? Please list them.

Then why say that I have a belief system if you won't go into detail about it?
You say about my assumptions and beliefs but won't say what assumptions I have or beliefs I poses?

The only thing you have convinced me of is that you either lack understanding or you are in denial. You evade questions and responces and often refuse to answer them.
What point is there in debating with you?
Seriously?!

I say that you have a belief system because I can see that you do. You clearly believe that you don't, so it's no good me explaining why you do. If you can't see it, you can't see it. But I can see that you do, it's very obvious indeed.
