Depending on where you look for your information, we're generally somewhere around 200,000 years old as a species according to wikipedia. 200,000 years being one of the oldest estimations of our age as a species that I've seen, according to mitochondrial DNA analysis.

One of the younger estimations put us at 130,000 years, but that may have been out-of-date information, but this is just what I've gotten on a random google search. Like this website, which appears to be on the ball: http://anthro.palomar.edu/homo2/mod_homo_4.htm

... but no. We - homo sapiens - are not millions of years old.

I'm sure you do, but thinking you're right doesn't actually make you right. A quick google search has already prooven that.
Though I'm curious as to which non-human species on this planet has developed the sophistication to manipulate an entire species on the genetic level.

Well... that was entertaining.

I can understand people who waste their time debating on the internet. It's not the least nerdy thing in the world but it's fun to meet new people and chat it up and talk about things.
I can never understand people who go to the internet just to annoy the crap out of people or just troll to intentionally piss people off or just waste their time just posting whatever random thought that crosses their mind.

That's just sad. Lol-cat god is unamused.
