Good case for the isolationists: "just let them kill each other". But this guy is an outlier right? "Real" Muslims don't think that way...

It's not as if these things wouldn't happen with christians and jews too. Abortion doctors are quite oftenly fair game for the righteous. Or the jew, just released from prison, stabbing random people on the streets in Jerusalem. As opposed to large scale attacks, which (at the moment) seem to be confined to Islamists, with Breivik being the possible exemption, single attacks happen quite frequently with any fanatic of any color. I wonder whether he harboured any feeling of support for extremist groups or if he just decided to protect Muhammad all of a sudden.
Clearly his religious delusion lends itself to irrational behaviour but it would be scary if it was an impromptu act. We had some story a couple of months ago, of a woman killing another one for being an atheist. It's not scary, just the usual fanatic procedure. These people exist and we have to deal with them several times a year. Wether it's a christian, a jew or a muslim. It doesn't matter if it's some raving pastor, Mullah or Rabbi or just the book of their choice itself. They don't have to be organised to be mad, you know.
Since it happened in Scotland the murderer will probably be out of jail in a couple of months.
