Thanks to this thread I now know that rooting your android device is not sexual.

The word "root" comes from the admin dir called root in linux(which android OS is build on), from root dir you can access all system dirs.
normal android devices don't give the access to the root by default, so you need to do the "rooting" to gain full control of the device.

So much broscience. Clearly, the word "root" comes from the major book and Oprah series called "Roots," which is about the history of slavery in America. Where do you guys get these ridiculous ideas of yours?
