atheist math question

RE: atheist math question
68% of Americans say they believe in separation of church and state. The fundies think that Christians being a majority means their anti-secularist views are in the majority. They're wrong. Add up the nones, minority religions, liberal Christians, and a lot of members of mainstream denominations...and the numbers are on our side.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

Help. Where was assisted suicide shot down? I may have been asleep.

well apparently it is illegal in most states.

now I know.

It seems that the supreme court left the decision to the states.

Unless I'm very much mistaken, assisted suicide isn't a particularly religious issue. People by and large seem to disapprove of it more on a 'slippery slope' basis than on religious grounds.

Boru nailed in the second post. The whole point of the Bill of Rights is to prevent the majority from tyrannizing the minority. And as Min pointed out, Christianity is highly fragmented. They know it too which is probably the only thing which has prevented a constitutional amendment to weaken Church-State Separation. The words of James Madison are hard to argue with: "Who does not see that the same authority which can establish Christianity, in exclusion of all other Religions, may establish with the same ease any particular sect of Christians, in exclusion of all other Sects?"
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

Stay out of Costa Rica.
