To misquote Tuco "If you want to help, help, don't pray".

There is absolutely no evidence that a single prayer has ever had a positive effect, outside of the beneficial effects of self reflection (which doesn't need prayer), and significant evidence that it may be harmful, for example the Templton prayer study, whose results showed that patients who were prayed for and knew they were being prayd for recovered less well than those in the group who weren't prayed for. So, if you want to help get of your lazy fat arse and help, and stop utterin meaningless platitudes.

I've seen prayer work many times and a study no pray has no validity because no one can know the answers God will give. So take your study and stuff it. If I could of been there to help I would have been but that wasn't possible. So quit being stupid. I went back to be sure and I was right about what I was thinking, you never offered BrokenQuill92 you sympathy or anything else. So you have no room to talk. I'm finished with you on this subject this thread wasn't put here for this kind of argument, you didn't care enough to respond to BrokenQuill92 and you don't care enough to make an argument out of her suffering and discomfort.

I was trying not to be rude. But I don't really appreciate prayers very much. Though my father wouldn't mind.

I appreciate you not saying anything to be rude and I think I addressed that I knew your dad would appreciate the pray, sorry that I offended you. So I say this I will continue to pray for your dad and wish you the best. It's good to hear your dad is doing better, having gone through the same thing with my dad I know how hard this can be and how slow the recovery can be. Be patient and understanding it will help you through the tough and trying times and it will help your dad also.

GC, I'm curious. Can you/are you allowed to type out the prayer that you would say for BQ's dad? Just wondering what the content would be.
I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem.

My apologies, but people like gc who just mumble a few meaningless platitudes and then expect the same kudos as if they did something to help really get on my tits. And then there is gc's general supercillious and condescending matter layered on top.

You didn't start anything, some people have no respect for other when they are in a situation like your's. You need to rest and relax, you can't change a thing about your dad's future health and worrying is not good for you or him, he's dad and can see your worry on your face. If you need someone to talk to just PM me, I've been there from the time I was in high school till dad past 30 years later, that time included 3 heart attacks and numerous complication. I'll be glad to just listen if that will help.

RE: Fustration! How is this favored?!
Daddy's well enough that we all want to kill him! We're all very stressed right now. My parents are putting their marriage back together and we're all working at getting daddy healthy again. I'm feeling a bit upset because I feel like I'm being regulated to step child, which daddy has never made a distinction between us even if George and Breton have never seen me as a sister. And poor granny want daddy's "crap" (her words not mine) out of her house. And we all want out of my aunt's apartment. Her children's whininess, temper tantrums, lying, stealing, disrespect for other adults and general misrule is awful. And they're 8 and 12. And if anyone calls them out in their poor behavior their mother freaks out and says how dare anyone tell her children anything! And she wonders why her children are several grades behind? Well if they don't have to listen to any other adult then of course you'll end up with a twelve year old in third grade. This is all put a terrible strain on my own health and I'm not sure how much more of this I can take. I don't want be a whiner but just needed to vent a minute
