IDK how you do not understand this yet, but I use proper/offical terms when I speak/write. I also choose my words very carefully and use them in accordance to their actual definitions.

As of 11:33am est on 4-13-16 GID is the proper clinical term. That is what I am going with till it changes.

I'm having this same stupid discussion with a Facebook buddy from back home (Lousy-anna). He is advancing almost the same arguments, words-for-word, which tells me that there's a propaganda machine manufacturing fear.

There is nothing stopping a pervert from pretending to be a woman, in order to accomplish what you claim. There are already laws against stalking, harassment that causes fear, assault, and rape. Why another law that specifically targets trans people? What would it even do except to declare that they have to walk into a MEN's bathroom looking completely like a woman?

I mean, seriously, do you honestly think that a law which bans genitals from a particular restroom will stop a rapist (or other criminal) from going into a women's room in disguise? The only possible purpose for this legislation is to express contempt for the trans community, after manufacturing a threat the politicians can "solve".

Assshole, "cis" in normal use simply refers to a person who identifies with their birth-gender, or what you'd call "normal". It's a complement to trans because it is its opposite. Fucking learn something.

Wake up, this isn't 1999 anymore, and you are not Bill Marr. It's time to try and learn to think for your self. I listed a whole long list of reason why legislation that supports a minority of a minority is not good for the people in this or another country. I've also repeatedly said that transsexuals are not at the core of my disagreement with this action, it is those looking to exploit this allowance or loop hole to prey on the opposite sex while they are in a vulnerable position.

What I did say that pertains to transsexuals is this will also enable those who suffer from GID that go untreated (which according to the Mayo clinic is the vast majority) will be enabled to put off treatment even longer.

The sexual assault angle on this is pure garbage, Drich.  Not to mention another slippery slope.  Any sex offender could follow any woman into a deserted public restroom and assault her with minimal amount of forethought and planning.  I mean, have you ever been in a Thru way rest stop at 1 am?  

So, by your train of thought, no one with a penis should be allowed anywhere NEAR the ladies room at all, regardless of how they are dressed.  So, why not work toward legislation to keep all men 100 feet away from public women's rooms?   I mean, since women aren't safe to go to the bathroom in public.  [emoji849]

It's not hypocrisy. Many laws and policies are based on feelings, such as the stalking law I mentioned earlier (it must demonstrably cause "fear or alarm", in most statutes' wording), as well as laws about threats made. 

Besides it's not just about how they feel.  It's who they are at the deepest possible level. It's so strong that the dysphoria causes severe psychological issues until resolved (if the person decides the surgery/hormone therapies are worth it, of course), which is why it's in the DSM5. The only "problems" people with GID appear to have is that people like you make them suicidally depressed and prone to eating disorders.
