Quick does not always mean best. Nuking a country would end a war quickly, but it's a horrible thing to do.
Why does it matter what method you use to kill people in a war?  One of our favorite methods during WWII was to burn people alive.  Personally I would rather be at ground zero instead of getting splattered with napalm.  Besides, from a practical matter it's better to kill off the enemy civilians than to try to control them after the war.  After all, they are the ones who helped instigate the war in the first place and kept it going.

Because they're Human beings, and we shouldn't dehumanize them. That's why.

If the big wigs did their own personal killings everyone else could sit back and drink Martinis. But since they don't and always send Joe Blows to do the bleeding for them why should Joe get his head blown off for them?  Kill the people and the war will be over very quickly.

That one is particularly sad; it's been a while since I studied the Assyrian/Babylonian period, but I also believe it couples with the verse where the Judites ended up eating their own offspring.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.

Yeah, it's pretty ugly stuff.

The answer can be simple or complex. For the simple people the answer is love.

For the deep thinkers. The biggest governments control both sides. They are beyond the evil that you know of. This allows them to have more money.

But how could you possibly ever see if you are blind? How could you ever hear what I am telling you if you are deaf?

Much of the Bible was altered due to Jewish Hierarchy wanting war.

VI commandment states NOT TO KILL just as Pharaoh Akhenaten pronounced, just as The Quran pronounced, just as Jesus pronounced, just as Krishna pronounced, just as Buddha pronounced. We are all one Smile

A nice Christian ignores the bible, for the most part.

A good Christian is not a nice Christian.

The VI Commandment is  Exodus 34:22 =

"6. Thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, even of the first fruits of the wheat harvest, and the feast of ingathering at the year's end."

Matthew
Quote:21 Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.
22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.
27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.
28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

The story indicates that Jesus was a sinner since he did what he wasn't suppose to do.  He was a bad boy.
