It always descends into pursuing them around a winding road of obtuse sophistry that leads all over the place and goes nowhere. That you follow them in this game of chase is likely a sign of your own irrational behavior.

Yeah. This is why I insist so much on a definition before it goes any further.
And it rarely does. If they don't know what they're talking about, I sure as hell don't.
Or I ask, why should I care? I get threats, whining or crickets.

Or things become so convoluted that I'm not even sure what they're arguing for, because they aren't arguing anything. They change the subject or play stupid, or ignore what they've already said and take a contradictory position, or play convoluted word games. Like fucking clockwork.

Indeed. I'd put the word games into the "arguments without evidence" category. Talking instead of producing.
It seems to me, at least on this forum, the most common goal is to "win the argument". That means continuing endlessly, dodging and weaving and bullshitting, until the atheist gets tired of it. Then "they win". What exactly they win, I don't know. Maybe another blowjob from Jesus in the future.

I suppose you kind of have to be intellectually dishonest if you want to try to argue for such positions.

Yeah. Or just ignorant of how arguments and evidence actually work. You can give people the benefit of the doubt of ignorance to begin with, but that excuse grows ever more thin the more times you explain the flaws.
But if you shift the focus and talk about something else, like them owing you a million bucks, suddenly their scepticism comes to life.
I've been challenged before to try and make a case, to pretend to be the theist. I can't do it. I'm so painfully aware of the necessity to include logical fallacies and obfuscation, and of the total lack of available evidence.

From one of your posts here:

The author of the second passage is Clark Carlton, who, according to his online biography, is in his early 50s. You, according to your introductory post, are an 18 year old university student in Romania.
I find it monumentally ironic that a self-styled Orthodox Christian uses the thievery of another man's words to make his case.

Lying Plagiarist!
Eh, what can you expect from a Seminarian? He just wants to graduate from college so he can start lying to his own little church and rape all of the altar boys. Little baby college-boy witch-doctor in training - - he's just practicing, after all. Hey! You are being unfair there! When I posted the links on the topic about "Heaven" a mod came to me and asked me I couldn't post any links until I don't know what, and now you are insulting me and calling me everything because I didn't!?
And not only that, you assume that "He just wants to graduate from college so he can start lying to his own little church and rape all of the altar boys.", what is the evidence for this claim? If you would knew what you are talking about you wouldn't have said it, first of all, the cases of paedophilia happened in the Catholic Church, not in the Orthodox Church, where we have no "altar boys" and priests get married before ordination, so before insulting me you can get documented. I am not going to insult back because it is not my style, I am educated and you are an atheist, how can I expect some education, after all? It is funny how all of you overuse the word evidence when you did not provide any evidence for your beliefs either, which are just that, beliefs.
Yes, the original article was posted by Clark Carlton, and, no matter what any moderator says, since now I will be posting every source even if they bann me for infringing the rules, alright?
Do any of you have anything to say about said article, which is why I posted it?

It's not just the Catholics. And it's not just unmarried men. Most baby-rapers are married heterosexual males. "More than 70 percent of the men who molest boys rate themselves as heterosexual" -- Quoted from The Abel and Harlow Child Molestation Prevention Study, Gene G. Abel, M.D., and Nora Harlow, 2001
But ok, you're not planning on doing any raping just yet, baby witch doctor. Kudos to you.
And if you start citing your sources, like any halfway decent little college baby, you might just get to stick around.
Maybe if we're really really lucky, your walls of text and your assertions will actually have some real research and measurable data soon.
