That's because you need to be using conditioner while in the shower (always rinse conditioner in cooler water than what you started with).
You'll then need to dry it completely and use botanical oils or a beard oil. Daily. And keep it combed.

No seriously I've had a beard on and off for about 10 years, never been clean shaven, but never had a sculpted beard either. Just bushy. There's a photo in the photo thread somewhere.

Oh definitely at first, it was driving me fucking mental for a few weeks. Once it gets to about this length it calms right down though.
I've been told it's quite itchy by the last few girls I kissed though so I try to keep the top lip strictly trimmed back Blush
