The silence of the masses still gets one of the two elected, nimwit. What message does staying home send?
The message to be sent is to choose a third option, otherwise no message gets sent at all, save that if you choose an odious enough candidate Americans will choose en masse not to play, and you can do whatever the fuck you want.
Not to mention that the real power is in Congress. The message you send by staying home is that if the powers choose a shit candidate and malign the other candidate enough so that they are hated too, they can keep their majority in the legislative body because if you don't show up to vote for President, you can't vote out the shitstains who hamstrung our government for 8 years.

I am not happy about it. I feel I will be forced to vote for Hilary, even though she is a horrible person, just because she will be more likely to nominate liberal, or at least centrist, judges. I don't even want to think about what the Supreme Court would look like after Trump finished with it. Scary thought.
And a thought to be kept firmly in mind. Its why I would have voted for Sanders had he won.
And remember, it is not only the supreme court, it is the entire federal judiciary and the EPA, the Defense Department, Secretary of State, etc., etc.
If you want Judge Judy on the Supreme Court vote for Drumpf.
And Losty, Sanders and Clinton agree on almost every issue.

The Clinton hate is a result of 18 months of run up for an election because of the money involved in politics.
An election cycle in which the goal is to make sure supporters of one candidate loathe the other one. It's certainly not about where she stands on the issues. It's her personal characteristics.
